Welcome Steven,

Great to see your interest in Transition! Welcome to GLOBAL TRANSITION IN ACTION. You mention in your registration "...Shrinkage is salvation...." You'll find many others here who think as you do. I see you've already connected with Ellen LaConte.  You'll find her group at http://transitioninaction.com/group/life-rules-the-book

Please join and click anytime on Transition group members in Maine to join your neighbors in discussions and events.  Click on any person's photo to say hello and find out more about their Transition interests. Reinforce the good things they are doing. Mention something that particularly interests you. Ask a question. Start a discussion. Let me know if you would like to be an Admin on this page to help build and maintain your group's portfolio. Have fun!

On the local scene, does Portland have a Transition-supporting website, or blog, or listserv, or Facebook, or Meetup? If so, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link to Portland in our registry of organizations, localities, companies, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link. That way we can introduce our two groups to each other. Are you interested? I'll be glad to help launch and build your link.

One more thing. It would be super to see your photo -- Click on Choose File and then follow instructions. Let me know if you need assistance. I'll be delighted to do some photoshopping if needed.

Again, welcome!

Les

Yea! Thanks. Now you can go back to that Transition Action Social Network page you created and sign on in "my groups" to my group, Life Works - the book, and converse, share, critique with a like-minded wider group, create your own group, link your people to my group and any others that suit your way of thinking, make comment and by this means we DO build the network and maybe eventually a critical mass of us who can deal with/deal out Critical Mass.   ellen
