Susannah Abbey replied to yf35's discussion 'How can we leverage technology to go create a network of local food supplies and expertise?' in the group Resilience, systems thinking and social networks
"I think it depends on your definition of local; what are the boundaries of your physical network? Or are you talking about the exchange of information only? The local scale here in Albuquerque is much different than it would be anywhere else.  "

Welcome Susannah,

Great to see your interest in Transition! Welcome to GLOBAL TRANSITION IN ACTION. I see you've already involved incorporating art and design into a more ecologically intelligent environment and improve people's awareness and understanding of their environments.  Super.

Click anytime on Transition group members in New Mexico to join your neighbors in discussions and events.  Click on any person's photo to say hello and find out more about their Transition interests. Reinforce the good things they are doing. Mention something that particularly interests you. Ask a question. Start a discussion. Let me know if you would like to be an Admin on this page to help build and maintain your group's portfolio. Have fun!

On the local scene, does Albuquerque have a Transition-supporting website, or blog, or listserv, or Facebook, or Meetup? If so, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link to your Artlington Community in our registry of organizations, localities, companies, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link. That way we can introduce our two groups to each other. I'll be glad to help launch and build your link. Are you interested?

Great photo.

Again, welcome!

Les
