Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Active thinker and writer. I am looking for others to get together with, roll up our sleeves, and get some things done!
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Human culture is at a critical juncture. The Transition movement is made up of people that believe we can choose rather than simply be lead.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
I recently wrote A Manifesto for Transformation which reflects some of my recent ideas. Here is a link. http://21stcenturybogatyr.blogspot.com/2011/06/manifesto-for-transf...

A Manifesto for Transformation: How do we get from here to there?

A Short Introduction & Disclaimer

There is little forward thinking going on. Corporate interests rarely see beyond the next financial quarter. Political interests look to the next election cycle. Most working people see as far as the…

They say: “It’s the Economy, Stupid!” I say: “It’s the Stupid Economy!”

What is the one, most compelling way that you, as an individual can contribute to stimulating the economy? Get in your car and crash it, preferably in a way that results in multiple injuries that will require hospitalization and legal complications that will take years to resolve in court. You have helped employ cops, tow truck operators, emergency responders, doctors, nurses and various hospital workers, lawyers,…

As a newcomer to this network, I would like to present a few observations and make a few suggestions for the process.

One of my first observations is that there are a very large number of "groups" but quite a few of them have very few members, many as few as two - and very little activity. Perhaps we can establish a fine tuning process that…

Zvi,  To answer your question, yes, we're moving in the right direction.  You new group will wait for yours and my signoff.  We need your photo and a logo for the group.  The photo on your blog is perfect for you as an individual. I've mounted the logo from the bogatyr blog temporarily. I'll watch for these changes.

Welcome Zvi,

Great to see your interest in Transition! Welcome to TRANSITION IN ACTION.

Click anytime on Transition group members in Florida to join your neighbors in discussions and events.  Click on any person's photo to say Hello. Reinforce the good things they are doing. Mention something that particularly interests you. Ask a question. Start a discussion. Let me know if you would like to be an Admin on this page to help build and maintain your group's portfolio. Have fun!

On the local scene, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link to Manifesto for Transformation in our registry of organizations, localities, companies, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link -- http://transitioninaction.com/groups/group/new. I'll be glad to help launch and build your link. Are you interested?

One more thing. It would be super to see your photo -- "Choose File" on http://transitioninaction.com/profiles/settings/editProfileInfo -- Let me know if you need assistance. I'll be delighted to do some photoshopping if needed.

Again, welcome!
