This project was created to share information about how communities become more self-sustaining, use less currency, and create what we need for ourselves. It's a long view.

- In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
- i believe it is the way to survive moving forward. i also am convinced that the components of transition such as meaningful work (growing food and building shelter for example), meaningful communities (helping communities not consuming communities), etc. are the key ingredients that will lead us out of depression and desperation and into more fulfilling, joyful lives. i have always wanted to be a part of such a movement.
- How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
- this is a job interview question and i don't have an answer. we'll see.

Click anytime on Transition group members in Wisconsin and Madison to join your neighbors in discussions and events. Click on any person's photo to say hello and find out more about their Transition interests. Reinforce the good things they are doing. Mention something that particularly interests you. Ask a question. Start a discussion. Let me know if you would like to be an Admin on this page to help build and maintain your group's portfolio. Have fun!
On the local scene, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link to your Madison Community in our registry of organizations, localities, companies, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link. That way we can introduce our two groups to each other. I'll be glad to help launch and build your link. Are you interested?
