MIMIC THIS! When you get invited to events 3000 miles away (or 20 of them just across town), use COPY & PASTE with the really interesting events to seed your own community's plans for similar events. Why start from scratch.... Beg, borrow and mimic! More....
Welcome recently added members. Check periodically to see if friends you have invited have joined.

Hi Zev. You may or may not have noticed that I changed the Group activities in the left column to display the highest to lowest number of members -- in response to your comments the other day about the number of groups with low member count. It can be changed periodically to also emphasize who has done something more recently.
Thank you for the birthday blessing, you are so kind. I noticed in your profile and on your website your extensive background in using new media technologies, even in creating 3.0 applications to help this movement in some ways. I would love to talk with you more about this if you have time. Email me at Sophia.Liu@colorado.edu.
Thanks Zev! Will keep you updated. Check out our website at www.wellfedneighbor.com. We're launching our 1000 Gardens Project Saturday Feb. 14th at our local Fair Grounds...we have 1000 signs to give to folks as a sign of their commitment. We're trying to get a garden into all 50 schools and every neighborhood association in town along with kitchens for food preparation, canning and seed saving classes, tool and book lending libraries and ongoing re-skilling classes.
I would chime in that as the Transition Movement grows there will be numerous changes of focus and I strongly encourage us to use whatever tools are currently available and adapt as necessary. Who knows how long it will take for the National Group to create a new web presence and we should not stop anything waiting... smile.
Hi Zev,
Perhaps you are familiar with all that's mentioned, but thought you might want to check out the post and discussion "Amazing online resource urban design" on Transition Vermont.
Cheers! George ~
"No, I am not. But, it is my favorite example of the direction that new single family development should be taking (or mixed types for that matter). You may have noticed that it was designed by Andres Duany http://www.katarxis3.com/Duany.htm" Quote from my answer for Zev. Do you know Zev?
I have been in the West for the past week + (I'm in Washington right now) - still traveling mucho. I will take a look at the information about Transition and see how I may be able to contribute.
