MIMIC THIS! When you get invited to events 3000 miles away (or 20 of them just across town), use COPY & PASTE with the really interesting events to seed your own community's plans for similar events. Why start from scratch.... Beg, borrow and mimic! More....

Yes, these books have really influenced who I am and who I want to be. It makes me feel more comfortable moving to Iowa knowing there are people there who value these issues.
Please feel free to invite anyone from last nights meeting to Robert Yoder's presentation a week from tomorrow (Friday). They can contact me at steve.yakovich@wellsfargo.com if they have any questions (directions). I enjoyed all the discussions lasts night, look forward to reading the book and coming to the next meeting. See you soon.
... We're gradually picking up speed in Transition Des Moines--and I'll be figuring out how to use this .ning site and get help with keeping it up... -- One of the first things you can do is to create a page for Transition Des Moines -- go to http://transitionus.ning.com/groups/group/new and answer a few questions. This link will serve as a bridge between Des Moines and the Transition Social Network.
Great Green Greetings Margaret and Gratitude for all you are doing!
Yes, most definitely we would love to have you or someone trained give a presentation for one of our Lunch and Learns and/or Wells Fargo Environmental Affairs Green Team Iowa general membership meetings! Email me at greenteamiowa@wellsfargo.com. Unfortunately I keep having schedule conflicts when they have nearby trainings, but I have met the founders at the Iowa Environmental Council Conference last year.
I also have been communicating with those in Ames as I live near there and have been giving presentations locally and nationally about "Corporate Grassroots Greening: Incorporating Environmental Stewardship into the Very DNA of Team Members and How we do Business."
I look forward to hearing more from you and scheduling your presentation(s) as we have multiple sites with 13,000 team members in the Des Moines Metro Area.
Margaret: I can come to the potluck on the 18th, but I'll be about 30 minutes late in arriving as I'm facilitating an Oxfam discussion from 4:30-6 downtown. Please do let me know once you've set the July schedule, and I'll certainly try to make it to what I can. -Stephen
Hi Margaret. Great to see you here. ...Just learning about it, following up on a presentation at an Iowa Environmental Council annual meeting this past fall... Working on a project like this seems like one of the most worthwhile things I could be doing. Welcome to our network. Feel free to explore the near-2000 members for people who share your ideas of "most worthwhile things I could be doing." There are quite a few here!
