MIMIC THIS! When you get invited to events 3000 miles away (or 20 of them just across town), use COPY & PASTE with the really interesting events to seed your own community's plans for similar events. Why start from scratch.... Beg, borrow and mimic! More....
Hmmm... Maybe we could work it out. Do you drive? I just made the big (or not so big) one-less-car leap and got rid of my brand new car. So I'm a pedestrian these days, and I have a meeting at 6:30. Could we meet up before then in enough time for me to bus to my next spot? Or do you want to just put it off until tomorrow or Wednesday?
Colin: Thanks for joining Transition Cascadia. I see we are in the City
Repair group together. Mark Lakemon actually came to Guemes a
few years ago and gave a presentation. Amazing person and what

initiative is trying to do.
It's about community, simply put. Our island has only about 600
fulltime residents and in the past we were much more of a
community than we are now. With the times changing, we seem
to be drawing closer together as is Anacortes, which is a 5
minute ferry ride away from us.
Come and visit. Many people your age are interested in our
programs and we actually have a lot more fun and celebration
than most places. Especially when it is not raining and
Welcome Colin! Great to see you here on Transition U.S. and Transition Harisonburg. "... I am not involved, but would like to be....." -- Great place to start. As you look around these sites and meet people, let us know where you'd like to dig in....
If you haven't already done so, come and see the new US Transition Page we rolled out last week. As this page develops, it will become a map of Transition resources across all ning sites. All 50 states are now active. Many state sites are brand new! Go to TRANSITION VIRGINIA and sign in. Invite others. Enter some of your local events. Start Discussions. Make Transition! Have fun!
